Advice for Land Rover & Range Rover owners in Dubai. Range Rovers in Dubai work hard on heat, sand and speed bumps. Check the air suspension for small leaks and keep the cooling system healthy before summer.
Owner's guide
What to know about your Land Rover & Range Rover
Air suspension is standard on most Range Rovers
It lets the car rise for off-road use and lower for access. The usual failures are leaking air springs, a tired compressor and the valve block. Catch leaks early and the compressor lasts.
Plastic coolant parts
Many Land Rover engines use plastic coolant pipes and housings that become brittle in heat. Small leaks lead to overheating if ignored.
ZF 8-speed gearbox
Most current models use the ZF 8HP automatic. It is strong, but a fluid and filter change helps in Dubai heat.
Different engines across the range
Supercharged 3.0 V6 and 5.0 V8, Ingenium four- and six-cylinder engines and, on the latest Range Rover, a BMW-sourced V8. Each has its own known weak points.
Repairs
Common Land Rover & Range Rover problems we fix
Air suspension
Sagging overnight, "suspension fault" warnings and a noisy compressor usually come from leaking air springs, the valve block or a tired compressor.
Coolant leaks
Plastic coolant pipes, the water pump and expansion tank leak with age and heat. Small leaks lead to overheating if ignored.
Oil leaks
Valve cover, oil cooler and sump gaskets are common leak points, especially on V6 and V8 engines.
Electrical warnings
Multiple warnings, infotainment and battery-drain faults are traced with full-system diagnostics.
ZF 8-speed gearbox
A fluid and filter service in Dubai heat keeps shifting smooth; harsh shifts are diagnosed before major work.

Fixed service schedule. Land Rover services by time and distance. Desert driving and heat count as severe use, so we check suspension and cooling at every visit.
| Item | When | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Engine oil and filter | Yearly or at the booklet distance | JLR-approved oil for your engine. |
| Brake fluid | At the booklet interval (often 2–3 years) | — |
| Air filter | Check every service, sooner after desert trips | — |
| ZF 8HP fluid | Check condition | A change helps in heat; not a fixed item in every booklet. |
| Coolant | At the long-life interval | Leaks are checked every visit. |

FAQ
Land Rover & Range Rover questions
Do you repair Range Rover air suspension?
Yes, including air springs, the compressor, valve block and height sensors.
Can you collect my Range Rover?
Yes. Pickup and drop-off are free on invoices of AED 1,500 or more.
My Range Rover shows "suspension fault, normal height only". Can I drive it?
Usually yes, gently and on-road, but book it in soon. The fault is often a leak or sensor problem, and driving long distances with a struggling compressor can damage it.
