Advice for Ford owners in Dubai. Ford's oil-life monitor adjusts to heat and towing. If you tow or drive off-road, follow the severe-use schedule in the booklet.
Owner's guide
What to know about your Ford
The 10-speed learns how you drive
The 10-speed automatic adapts its shifts. After a fluid change or repair, an adaptive relearn helps it shift smoothly again.
EcoBoost engines need clean oil
Turbocharged EcoBoost engines are sensitive to oil quality and change intervals, especially with heat and towing.
Intelligent oil-life monitor
Ford's monitor calculates oil life from engine temperature, load and idling. Trust it, and service sooner if you tow.
Repairs
Common Ford problems we fix
10-speed automatic shifts
Harsh or clunky shifts on the 10-speed gearbox (Explorer, Expedition, F-150, Mustang) are often improved by software, correct fluid and an adaptive relearn; we diagnose before replacing parts.
EcoBoost cold-start rattle
A rattle at start-up on some 3.5 EcoBoost engines points to the cam phasers or timing chain, and is worth checking before it gets worse.
Explorer 3.5 V6 water pump
On 2011–2019 Explorers with the 3.5-litre V6, the water pump sits inside the engine. Coolant loss with no visible leak needs checking quickly, because a leak can contaminate the oil.
AC and cooling
Big Ford SUVs and pickups need strong cooling and AC in summer; we test fans, condensers and compressors properly.
